all this time I have always worried about what life would be like when I got to the “real world.” It’s always been some mythical, uninmaginable place…. But this moment now- sitting at work and daydreaming is the real world. Yesterday when I overslept and then choose to watch movies instead of working- that was the real world. This weekend when I go out and spend money I don’t have drinking too much alcohol to celebrate a friend’s birthday- that is the real world. Everyone is always living in the real world. Every moment of your life is real and important.  Just because you don’t have a 9-5 with a 401K doesn’t mean you don’t live in the real world. I would actually argue that the less security and money you have, the more real your world is.
